Our Story

Chelsea Gets the Ball Rolling! 03.12.2009
Introduced by our mutual friend, Chelsea Small, Eric & Tiana never forgot the other, and a few years later, the sparks start to fly
Queen Mary in Long Beach 12.31.2011
A photo shoot turns into a first date, as Eric & Tiana turn their attentions from pictures to each other.
Road Trips & Adventures Worldwide
Road trips and scavenger hunts, foreign countries (maybe a little treason...) new places, new faces and the beauty in it all, whether chasing the sun for a beautiful photograph, or trying to find a beach in a forest, we're a couple of happy wanderers.
The Boys 12.21.2013
In December of 2013 our family grew! A tiny Siberian Husky named Django was brought home to Valley Center and, just a couple weeks later, his brother Bourbon showed up, too.
Nica-wah-wah 01.13.2015
Cleverly staged in front of a 16th century spanish colonial church in Granada, Nicaragua, Eric gets down on one knee, and surprises the hell out of Tiana with a chintzy cracker jack prize, some flowery words, and a promise For Ever.
Taking the Party Home 07.01.2015
Eric kicks the dust off his boots, and shuffles his party down south. Moving in with Tiana may be a long commute, but it comes with nature, hills, plenty of space, clean air, and a pretty decent lady in house.

To Do In Tamarindo

Guanacaste Day! 07.25.2016
July 25th is Independence Day in the region you'll be visiting! Festivals, Dancing in the streets, Non-Lethal Bullfights, music and local cuisine will fill your day and your night!
Swimming, Sunning and Sailing Why we're here
Swimming and relaxing on the beach right in the middle of town, being served frosty drinks under a tropical sun... Catch a ride on a snorkeling catamaran cruise to a crystal clear reef.
Eat. Everything. twice
Costa Rican Tipical food is fresh and delicious! But if you're not down with the local fare, there's a lady in Tamarindo who will sell you breakfast from her station wagon, a high end sushi lounge across from El Diria, and just about every cuisine you could hope for in Tamarindo
Estuary Tours we're gonna need a bigger boat
Brimming with monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, and many species of birds, the estuary boat tours are an easy going ponga trip down the calm Rio Matapalo
Surf Tamarindo every day
With Surf Camps, and instructors around, as well as countless boards to rent, there's no reason to stay out of the water while you're in Tamarindo. Locals can tell you about more great surf breaks outside of town. Of course, there's always the rivermouth... just watch out for the crocs.
Horse Riding Whisperererers
You can hop on these meandering beasts to do your meanderings with. The locals frown on marauding, though, so be congenial.
Adventure Tours bring diapers
If you need to feel the rush of the zipline, or scale the side of a cliff, or whip down rapids in an innertube, then don't fret. All that jazz is close at hand.
Sit Back & Relax it's all a dream
Most Important: Just breathe. Take it all in. Relax and enjoy. We can't wait to show you around.

Getting There Tamarindo

Flight tips for your Costa Rica Vacation!

The airport most people fly into is Liberia (LIR)
From Liberia, it's about a 90 minute drive to Tamarindo.
Let us know what flight you're on, and we'll send a driver to pick you up!
(Alaskan Airlines and Southwest Airlines recently started non stop flights from LAX to LIR)

If Liberia doesn't work for you, you can fly into San Jose Airport (SJO)
From SJO you can catch a bus to Tamarindo, which takes about 4 hours.
It's a beautiful cruise through the Costa Rican countryside, and a couple cities.

Don't dig the bus?, you can fly from SJO straight to Tamarindo Airport (TNO)
A couple airlines in SJO fly Puddle Jumpers to Tamarindo's tiny airport (TNO)
Look for "Sansa" or "Nature Air". That flight takes about 45 minutes

Reception San Diego

We know it may be tough to get down to Costa Rica
So we're having a party in Southern California, too!
Hang tight, and we'll get all the info together for you.

There's a pretty good chance it'll be in North San Diego County.
We'll line this up to happen after we get back from Central America!

Gift Registry

What we want most for our wedding is to have our friends and family there to celebrate the occasion with us.
So more than anything we’re just looking forward to seeing you!

If you would like to get us something, we won't say no, but we don't want you dragging extra stuff down to Costa Rica,
so we recommend shipping to us, or meeting up again in California.
You can find our registry here:
